I want to grow peanuts and don't know where to get them from. Don't see them in the shop anymore covered in dirt like potatoes. Where can I get some?

    raw peanuts

Either Gardening OZ or Organic gardering mag did a spot on peanuts some time ago and they said the best place to get them was from the health food shops. Buy a bag of raw peanuts. Not too sure tho when to plant. Good luck, apparently it is pretty easy and they are a legume so good for the soil.

Colours, as a permie, this is really one of those plants you wanna 'give it a whiz and see'. Ultimately, you will have a nut harvest, a hay harvest and, magically, some sort of legume leftover.

Peanuts are seriously worth doing, even on a 5m x 5m plot if you have the climate.

    cheers

  4. Peanut seeds

Don't know if you managed to find some peanuts, but Diggers https://www.diggers.com.au sell Peanut Virginia (Arachis hypogaea) seeds in packs of 30.

They can be slow to germinate and we didn't have much luck last year but will try again this year. ;-)

    Hi,
We currently grow and supply 3 varieties that are suited to most areas of Australia.
    Peanut - Kingaroy.
    Peanut - Virginia.
    Peanut - Chinese.
All are easy to grow. Need to be planted now (normally mid-October).
Let us know if you need further info.
    Thanks. Jesusa.

Jesusa - what's your web site?? did a google, but the burrendong gardens web site that it came up with only has half a dozen varieties of seeds available - - no peanuts or pomegranites

  7. Hi paradisi,
We don't have our own site - have not yet found one that is easy enough for horticulturist not computer wizards to build!.
Sales are direct from our nursery and via a few auction/buy-now sites that we have tried over the years.
Currently we have most of our items listed at https://www.burrendong-gardens.ws and a few left at https://www.burrendong-gardens.net Not relisting on the latter.
    Have a nice evening. Jesusa.
