Hello all. Most of you don't know me. I've had a couple of attempts at membership here and ongoing issues with logging on and having to change my registration, etc. At that time, Michaelangelica assisted me, and finally I could log on but lost the momentum and the time, and haven't visited very much. It is most unfortunate that my post here tonight comes with the very sad news that Michaelangelica has passed away, last night. I wasn't sure where else to post such news, but was certain you would want to know as he has been quite involved - and has been quite a character - here on the forums over the years. News from his family is as follows: "he had the flu for a couple of weeks, and died in his sleep on Tuesday night, possibly of a heart attack." I have been working alongside Michael on our local Permaculture group committee where he has been a member and committee member for a few years, and he has been a smart, funny, warm and witty person to work with. As one of the group put it, we had all grown to love and appreciate him very much and he will be missed greatly. It was a shock to hear the news and I feel quite shaky inside. Stating the obvious, we just never know when our time is up and how long we have on this Earth. Rest in peace, Michael. Maree
I am shocked, this is very sad. Thank-you for letting us know and please pass on our condolences to his family and friends.
Thank you, Pebble. I am sure many here will be shocked at the news, he was such a large part of the community here. I will come back here in the morning - if I can log on again...
I am relatively new to the forum but the great contribution made by Michaelangelica was obvious from the start. This is very sad news indeed. Condolences to his family and friends.
Thanks for letting us know Maree, it must be hard to have to break the news. It certainly is a shock. I was wondering why he hadn't been in the moderators 'mosh pit' for the past few days as he is usually so active here. Is there anything that any of we Aussie folk can help out with for his family?
I'm so sorry to hear this. How very sad. M was such a great contributor here, intelligent, funny, helpful and an all round great person. The world and the permaculture community will be so sad and miss his ideas, words and thoughts a great deal. I'm in shock as I was joking with him just the other day. Much love to his family and friends during this sad time.

I haven't been here long either, but always enjoyed his News updates and imput on other threads. I truly feel deep sadness here.
Thanks for letting us know Maree. Michael, it's been a pleasure. Thanks for all your good work. Peace brother Love Grahame
This site and the world in general is be a lesser place without Michaleangelica. Ecodharmamark...thank you for the music clip. My thoughts are with his family. Cathy
Such a sad post - we miss him here at Purple Pear Farm. Thanks for posting Ree. I could not watch your clip Marko - it would set me to blubbering but thanks for posting it. My condolences to his family - and including his family here on the forum.
Rest in peace, good man, hopefully in the Garden of Eden. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
Just got home and found this. Oh Michael, peace be with you. I'll write a little more after I sort things a bit. I've pinned this thread for a while, if you all don't mind. = (
I'm lost for words... he is like a best mate I never had the fortune to meet in person... such sad news...
I also never met Michael, but always greatly appreciated his input and sense of humour. He'll be greatly missed, and I wish his family my sincere condolences at this difficult time. Times like these remind me how it's so important to treat one another with kindness and respect. We never know what a day will bring. Rest in peace Michael.
