Simple chicken nest box from scrap wood

    Thanks for posting Joe. Classy nest box. How many chickens do you run for six boxes. We have around ten hens in each dome of the mandala and they share a grass catcher from a lawnmower. We tried to put several in each but the chooks just wait their turn to go in the same one. Our hens love the dark confinment of the grass catcher. I like your sloping roof. Is that to make cleaning easy?

    Thanks Purplepear, we have 20 chickens right now. The sloping roof prevents the mess more than making it easy to clean, they can't sit on the steep 45° top.

    I like your site, very impressive setup. Using the grass catcher is clever, I have never seen that before.
