Who sells me flour corn seeds non sweet, best for cool climate? In the US there are so many great varieties but here the seeds catalogues don't list anything. I tried red aztec but it didn't ripen last summer which was far too wet and cool. Seller must be in Australia because corn is not permitted entry.
Hmmm. I've been looking around for you. Blue Hopi is reputed to make a very fine (albeit blue) flour. There are some sellers on eBay currently selling them. A possibility might be to contact Kialla Pure Foods (they are millers in Australia). On their website they sell both yellow and white (organic) cornflour, and they also sell the organic grains for these, which might be viable (worth an ask). Hope this helps.
Thanks I'll have a look at both. The stuff from ebay though mostly comes from overseas. I really wonder why our seed companies do not import some other varieties, they could charge $5 per packet.
