Many of you on here are probably aware of Dr Alexander's work, for those of you who aren't I highly recommend looking at these sites and the accompanying research. The Simplicity Institute website. Simplicity Collective blog. Research paper on the Voluntary Simplicity Movement. And if you consider yourself a voluntary simplifier (basically if you're taking steps to reduce your consumption) please fill out the survey, linked on this page https://simplicityinstitute.org/our-research
Thanks for the links, Emily. These folk (including Ted Trainer, a person whom I admire greatly) are undertaking some very important research work, and as such I was only too happy to spend 10-minutes completing the survey. Cheerio, Markos.
brilliant. i didn't know anyone was doing any research into that sort of lifestyle. but do you think that the internet has a place in a simple way of life?
you can grow your own food and be self sufficient. this is what people do for a living which is 'simple'.
G'day All Sure, Jeremy. We just have to find ways of making it more sustainable. Great Answer, Jeremy. 'Simple', in the context of this thread, Labradel, is defined very well in the links provided by Emily in her opening post. Cheerio, Marko.
