    This one is brilliant though probably needs a lot of experimental work before its ready to use. Its use growing bamboo for structure.

    I think i might have a go at doing this with silver quongdongs following this approach, just as soon as they germinate. It will come with its built in shade/insulation.

    I like cordwood because it makes use of shorter, firewood length, timber; essentially waste wood from forestry thinings. Cement, Lime Putty or Cob mortars can be used depending upon the builders preferences and finances. I did a course in Feb 2010 and loved the concept.

    If the house caught fire, you'd end up with a very interesting shed. A shed suitable for the tropics rather than a house suitable for a cold climate. ;-)
