    I know about the 28/26-spot ladybug being a baddie, but what about this little sucker? As you can see she's having a feast on my tomato leaves.

    I've got them on my potatoes too. I figured they might be related to the 28 spotted lady bird and have been delivering them the same swift justice...

    Looks like a cross between a leaf miner and a ladybug...

    G'day
    Looks like a ladybird to me; apparently there are 300 species of ladybugs with various colourings according to "A Field guide to insects of Australia"
