Hi Everyone! I thought I would pop this link in here as a resource that, I feel, has a lot to offer. My name is Shane, and I have recently created a web-based resource entitled This Sustainable House (https://www.thissustainablehouse.com.au) which is designed as a not-for-profit website to share information regarding sustainability, and permaculture style gardening. It is very much a new site (only a few weeks old) but is growing rapidly. Check it out if it seems pertinent to you. I am looking forward to chatting to more of you via these forums... cheers Shane
Re: This Sustainable House Website Hi Shane, I like the website. Colour scheme easy on the eye too. Best of luck with your journey. Hamish
Re: This Sustainable House Website Looks good, Shane. I'll contact you tonight via your site - I think we're both trying to accomplish very similar goals and I'm sure we can help each other out in many ways. My site is at: https://green-change.com And I'm married to an accountant .
Re: This Sustainable House Website Hi Guys Thanks for the comments! Much appreciated... I'd love to hear from you poolroom and will check out your site tomorrow (Today has been far toooooooo long already!). Ciao Shane
Re: This Sustainable House Website Nice websites. Darren, I appreciated your chest freezer conversion post. I'm thinking about doing the same. Also, be careful about creating a seal on your compost. I did that once and when I opened the lid it almost took my head off.
Re: This Sustainable House Website Thanks newcroft. I'm really happy with the chest fridge so far, and more importantly, so is my wife. I've got lots of small holes drilled in the sides and bottom of that compost bin, so it won't build up any pressure. It's important to let a little air flow in and out, as well as to prevent it becoming too wet.
