    well my missus has just developed cancer and is on chemo - - and very worried about any sort of bug going around because her immune system is so compromised.

    I watch ever news feed I can about out breaks - just to try and ease her worries

    Re: Swine Flu... I don't think the concern is as much with the flu itself. Its more to do with its ability to spread and potentially mutate with other strains of the flu.

    Agree with you Dalzieldrin. In these cases authorities cannot win: if they do not respond quickly there will be hell (and possibly lots of deaths), if they do respond quick and hard and are effective at that (read less people die as a result), there will still be people yelling "what is the fuss about, nobody is dying...." The thing is that due to all the fuss, you actually may reduce the number of casualties.

    thanks for your best wishes for sandie - - I've seen some people curl up and wait to die when they get told they have cancer - Sandie hasn't, she's kicked and is determined to get as much as possible out of life- - and the chemo really does seem to be working so things look good
