hello to everyone on the forum! im joel lee from the cebu permaculture initiatives, an NGO based in central philippines. recently, i have spent a lot of time on the internet searching for references and AV training materials i can use for the upcoming PDC im conducting here in Cebu. to expand the usefulness of the work done, i would like to share the links + some description thru this forum so that PDC teachers can easily locate these materials, as well as share with others the resources they have discovered. i invite everyone to keep on adding materials vs. the outline used by the Permaculture, A Designer's Manual by Bill Mollison (PDM). In this way, we can use a common way of referencing and searching these useful training materials: PDM 1 intro to permaculture PDM 2 concepts & themes in permaculture design PDM 3 methods of permaculture design PDM 4 pattern understanding PDM 5 climactic factors PDM 6 trees & their energy transaction PDM 7 water PDM 8 soils PDM 9 earthworking & earth resources PDM 10 humid tropics PDM 11 dryland strategies PDM 12 humid cool to cold climates PDM 13 aquaculture PDM 14 strategies of an alternative global nation i shall be posting the materials by chapter for easier searches. please feel free to add websites, book titles, web videos, etc. green cheers! mabuhay! Desertification https://youtube.com/watch?v=RC0AwY56Zzw Desertification comes about by a complex interaction between the natural environment and human activities. The cause may vary from region to region on account of economic conditions, population pressure, agricultural practices, and politics. Human activities that destroys surface vegetation, degrades soil structure and fertility, impedes water infiltration and causes soil drying promotes desertification.
