Any idea? I have only found a few sites and they all seem to be on dwarf stock. I am wanting fruit trees to plant this winter. (apples, stone fruit, avacado) I am in SA, but am happy to do mail order.
    cheers!!

There is a place in Vic that does heritage apple trees - just google them. I get a lot of stuff from Daly's in NSW and they freight direct mail order. Again, good site on the net.

    O NO!
    What happened to their collection?
I just found an apple tree growing where it shouldn't and was going to contact them to see if they wanted some fruit or cuttings.

Try the diggers club : https://www.diggers.com.au
They have heritage fruit trees, as well as veges and flowers. You might get a little too inspired though ~ they have a beautiful range! They're mail order. You can join the club, which isn't cheap, from memory, or just pay a bit extra on your order. Depending on how much you order, though, it might be worth joining.

Bob Magnus is the guy in Tasmania who sells a good range of heritage trees, including apple, pear, quince, medlar and the like- approx $25 per tree I think

Hi, peaches and nectarines grow true to type so you can save the pips and plant those if they aren't a hybrid. Ican send you some black boy peach seeds if you want.

    regards Lisa

Wow! I didn't realise that! I would love some peach seeds! Are you in SA?
If your not, I am not sure what the regulations are re. sending peach seeds interstate...
I live amongst commercial apple, cherry and stonefruit orchards and I don't want to put them at risk of anything
as it is my neighbors livelihood.
    Thanks so much!

Hi, I am in Central Victoria which is a fruit fly free zone but perhaps you should check with your local dept of agriculture. Then let us know how you went. i'll be able to post them if you get the all clear.
    Cheers Lisa

    Thanks for those links tamara!

Lisa, I think they need to have a health certificate according to PIRSA.

    https://www.pir.sa.gov.au/planthealth/importers

But thank you so much for the offer! It was so lovely of you!

I'm sure that I will be able to find some seeds here I can have a go at germinating!!

    Cheers!

    hi
we sell heritage fruit trees on all sorts of rootstock. and we have over 250 different varieties of apples here in the otways.
But seeing that you're in SA, best to contact harry harrison from the Rare Fruits Society of SA. They also have a good range of avocadoes too...
we're just developing a collection down here.
    love
    Fern

Re: Where can I buy heritage fruit trees?

yalca fruits have an extensive list. i saw their add in a permaculture magazine. figs, quinces, blueberries, walnuts - etc. and of course apples.

i am thinking of ordering from them next year, so if anyone could tell me what experience they've had with them, i'd be very grateful.

Try badger's keep in Victoria especially for apples.

Re: Where can I buy heritage fruit trees?

Anyone out there who has Black Boy Peach tree's? I'm looking to buy either some fruit, stone pips or seedlings. I'm located near Melbourne - willing to drive a couple of hours to collect or pay postage. Regards, Val.
