Any idea? I have only found a few sites and they all seem to be on dwarf stock. I am wanting fruit trees to plant this winter. (apples, stone fruit, avacado) I am in SA, but am happy to do mail order. cheers!!
There is a place in Vic that does heritage apple trees - just google them. I get a lot of stuff from Daly's in NSW and they freight direct mail order. Again, good site on the net.
O NO! What happened to their collection? I just found an apple tree growing where it shouldn't and was going to contact them to see if they wanted some fruit or cuttings. We grow old We wear the bottoms of our trousers rolled Elliot?
Try the diggers club : https://www.diggers.com.au They have heritage fruit trees, as well as veges and flowers. You might get a little too inspired though ~ they have a beautiful range! They're mail order. You can join the club, which isn't cheap, from memory, or just pay a bit extra on your order. Depending on how much you order, though, it might be worth joining.
Bob Magnus is the guy in Tasmania who sells a good range of heritage trees, including apple, pear, quince, medlar and the like- approx $25 per tree I think
Re: Where can I buy heritage fruit trees? Hi, peaches and nectarines grow true to type so you can save the pips and plant those if they aren't a hybrid. Ican send you some black boy peach seeds if you want. regards Lisa
Re: Where can I buy heritage fruit trees? Wow! I didn't realise that! I would love some peach seeds! Are you in SA? If your not, I am not sure what the regulations are re. sending peach seeds interstate... I live amongst commercial apple, cherry and stonefruit orchards and I don't want to put them at risk of anything as it is my neighbors livelihood. Thanks so much!
