Wondering if any of you down in Oz have any suggestions about how to put melalueca to good use? It is invasive here in South Florida, and I thought I might do the native ecosystem a favor by harvesting a bit here or there. Anyone know an easy method for extracting tea tree oil?

    Thanks,
    Jonathan

    Hi Jonathon,

What type of Melaleuca is it? Mel Stypholoides is a good habitat tree for small birds like finches, wrens, robins and small honeyeaters.

Other than that, i couldn't suggest what other benefit or use u may be able to get from it.

    Cheers... Dave
