    Hi guys ,

Stumbled onto the site by accident(was looking for info for nesting boxes and perchs for my new chicken run, actually) and realized that my families life was heading back towards a direction of permaculture values .I completed a permaculture design course with Robyn Francis about 15 years ago and have travelled, made babies, built a home and been involved with tropical horticulture ever since.
Looking forward to sharing ideas with you all.

    Regards

    Scott

    Thanks for the welcome,guys.

jez,El Arish is in the wet wet tropics about 10 km's north of Tully,or about 2 hours south of Cairns.
This year while most of the country languished in drought, out of the first 180 days of the year it rained for 122 of them.
Very green place but also very frustrating to get things done.

Just noticed you are also from the far north so I guess you you know a thing or two about rain also.

Ah, you're in the seriously wet tropics there Scott!

We spent a couple of years on the Tablelands, now we're much further west in the dry tropics of the Gulf Savannah.

Everywhere has its ups and downs weather wise...but I hear ya about trying to get outside and do things around frequent rain...the fine days always seem to coincide with the days you have other things planned!

Glad to have you aboard mate. :thumbright:
