    Hi all,

We just got back from a few days at our property and I took some photos of the weeds and things currentyly growing there. If anyone can be of assistance in identifying what we've got, then I'll be able to research the individual plants and figure out how to best control them- or not! I've numbered the photos to make conversation simpler. Thanks in advance!

(I'm posting this in three different places, sorry if you see it more than once!)

Jumped in here – am doing a weeds identification assignment right now for my TAFE organic farming course, but quickly realised as I went down your list, 3 weeks into my course I still know nothing about anything useful.
I have been busy googling weeds of Oz. There's a lot of them. Just about anything a permie recommends you plant is listed as a noxious weed!
One of those (no 16) grasses looks a bit like umbrella grass.
I agree with you on the lantana and the bouganvillia.
I think your spider is gorgeous! (and no, I am not a fruitcake that particularly likes creepy crawlies – but I can happily co-exist with them if they stay out of my immediate personal space, like my socks and underwear!)

Thanks heuristics! I thought the spider was quite pretty as well. We saw lots of much larger spiders, also quite pretty, but didn't get any good pics of them.

 Love the pictures....first is a succulent sold in nurseries...not sure of the name, but as the larger similar succulent know as pigface is excellent chook food and increase the omega 3 in their eggs, it may make good chook feed.
Looks like an older type brouganvillia....could be the root stock from one of the newer hybrids or dropped seed from a wild one.
Doesn't look like what we call umberella grass down here....ours is a much finer "umberella" and a right pain in the *%*% The stock dont like to eat it, it builds up against fences or any obstuble and is a fire hazard, and I have heaps and HATE it.
    No help with the others.
    Love the spider :)
    Cheers
    Cathy

#14 is morning glory / bindweed. Genus is either Ipomoiea or Convolulus, depending on flowers.

Sheep & pigs love it, but don't let into your compost pile.

    Good luck!
