Both SBS and ABC deny it was them, but ONE of them screened a segment on poor buggered Bhutan last night.
Global warming is causing the glaciers to melt. The glaciers become lakes high in the mountains. They eventually collapse, with a stupendous volume of water and rocks released down the valleys, wiping out whole villages and everything in the melt water's path.
An interview with a Bhutan man/monk? Saying that their country, (poor, not industrialised), had not contributed to global warming but seemed to be among the first to feel the worst of its effects.

    Heuristics,

Global Warming is still being debated in pseudo-science circles and that is a tragedy, in the face of reports coming from all the world.

It is impacting on us all in so many ways. Thanks for the heads-up on this.
I didnt see the TV report but did find this.

    cheers

Interesting read....I wonder why none of this ever makes it onto the evening news?

I read the other day the Inuit are sueing the U.S. Gov't because people are falling through the ice, among other things.

This is the sort of stuff I want to know about. And the reason we should all boycott the evening news.
