Since Fukuoka have name it as a good nitrogen fixation, I'm searching for Black Wattles acacias family. My future project will be situated on Tarragona Spain around 600 metres on sea level Clayey soils are calcareous, poor in organic matter, Sun hours are high and the annual rainfall is around 350-500 mm.I'm looking acacias that can endure very cold, very hot, drought, torrential rains and are edible for humans. Thank you
"Black" Wattle tends to cover many species, colloquially in Australia. Acacia melanoxylon is "Blackwood" but usually just called "Black Wattle". Acacia mearnsii is "Black Wattle". Plenty of publications will get you what you need.
