You bunch of fat pigs!

    I fell in love with a large black pig in Cambodia. I presume that was the actual variety as she was A. Large and B. Black. As a redhead myself those Tamworth pigs sure are pleasing to the eye….

    That's one more thing for the wish list….

    I would have thought the kunekune would have been tagged as a lard breed.When I went off to learn about (un)dressing pigs, I was surprised at the amount of fat on them.
    I wound up cutting just about all of it off and rendering it down and using the casings to store it in, in the freezer. Just cut a slice off and popped it in the pan.
    That last for ages, probably longer than the rest of the meat did.
    It amazes me that such a large beast produces such little babies.

    Didn't see any greys on those Tamworth Pigs lol. Must be the Red Rinse. Thanks for putting up the photos. I enjoyed them

    We are starting to breed Guinea Hogs, our first two gilts will be picked up in September when momma is through weening them.
