    Hi Missf,
Is this something we can assist with online or do you need someone to visit/work at your site?

My system is designed for a survival situation and will not power my entire household. When the utility shuts down, there will be enough electricty to power essentials:

Installed in my house is a 2K system controlled by an Outback controller/inverter. It is specialized in that is will charge batteries first, then send power into the grid. In a survival situation, the system will charge the batteries and/or provide power to the house. There is some learning to accomplish. or maybe adaptation is a better word. Learning what the system can do, the amount of sunlight (amount of cloud cover/length of daylight, ect.) will transfer into a certian amount of power, and the draw from your intended uses, you will get to know all that. You will increase your IQ! Here is the website: https://www.outbackpower.com/outback-products/inverters-chargers

Then the batteries are also specialized nickel-iron that will last beyond 100 years (caveat here). Here is the website: https://ironedison.com/

You will notice the batteries are expensive up front, but over the life of the battery these are much cheaper compared to a continual replacement.
