    Hi,
There is something very strange that I can find no information.
I have a new block with quite poor soil on a slope.
Dug a net&pan for my lime tree and a few wild tomatoes sprang up.
And they grew huge from the fresh compost I suppose.
Weird thing is they just turned from green to yellow and stayed that way.
I picked them but most of them eventually went bad but after months.
I thought it might be a freak yellow variety, but what explains that they don't ripen, but last firm & unripened for months.
I still have 2 left from the batch I picked back in October! And they are still firm.

I did fry up a few, in case it was a wierd variety, and they were edible but no flavour.
too wierd. maybe someone has seen something similar.

yes, there are many different colors of tomatoes available. we've grown cherry tomatoes that at the most got golden, but never turned red. they were pretty good in flavor.

Ha! Maybe some weird cross-pollination happened. I know the supermarkets would love a firm tomato that took ages to go bad.

Ay Guiseppe! Wass-a matter- for-your- tomates- huh?

The two that are left are 9 months old, quite large and still firm.
I've stir fried others b4 they got too old. Although not tasty, are still quite edible, as a flavour absorber, like zuccini.
    Just wierd,.
Maybe I should take the last one to CSIRO. But then again...
