    Hello,

I you have large garden beds, you need a lot wood chip mulch.

For mulching, I use this two options.

    i'm not chasing links...

get them for free by asking if you see someone chipping when they
are clearing or cleaning up. often they will be happy to not have to
travel a longer ways to have to dump chips.

talk to friends who burn wood as they may make a lot of debris that
they won't want to burn. if they don't garden they will likely have to
get rid of such stuff (bark, rotting wood they can't use, sawdust). i'm
lucky that i do have some friends who will deliver such goodies to me
in exchange for some of my produce. we also get their leaves so the
lawn bags can be reused several times. we figure this pays for their
gas in delivering things. it's a nice arrangement. :)

Since I was recently given a good sized chipper I can now make my own. Previously I did like Songbird and got with people, getting any stuff free is always a win in my book. Trading produce for items you want and others don't want is how the world used to work before money was invented. ;)
