Pigs are threatening to take over my life!!!

I now have 7 breeders and 20 piglets running around the paddock, another litter due in 2 weeks! Our pork is really selling well; have sold out for Xmas, including hams. I had to quit my job so I can focus on the business and plan on a litter a month next year. We are building a coolroom and kitchen so I can do all the hams and bacons on site; I cannot wait for that to be complete. I really prefer to do my own charcuterie, and I have perfected our signature sausage which I hope to launch in the New Year. My chooks have certainly taken a back seat these days!

That's interesting that you can access organic pork Frosty. What do they charge you for it if I may ask?

we buy our pork from here https://www.barleyfield.com.au/sections/ ... ducts.html

technically its chemical free as it isnt certified but I have been having it for over a year and am ok with it ....... dont seem quite right with their beef and not good with their lamb so we just eat pork ( and free range chicken but we buy that from somewhere else because it is cheaper )

also I think the price has gone up to $8 per kg now
