Forests Around Chernobyl Aren't Decaying Properly

    And to think I so enjoyed reading about how the wildlife, forests, and apparently Nature Herself had taken root again in the contaminated zone around Chernobyl (and the grandmothers too!).

    the sad thing is that most of the world probably thinks that Chernobyl is over and that Fukushima is contained.

    as far as i'm concerned both are not contained or finished...

    Chernobyl IS NOT contained. Fukashima, is NOT contained. Both add radiation daily so this is no surprise to me.

    I'm sort of amazed that the wood is breaking down at all(Mother Nature is pretty amazing after all). At least we know that life will carry on in some form or fashion in spite of us. It's a shame it has to be in spite of us.
