    Greetings, all.
I am reaching out in hopes of connecting with other inspired collaborators that would be willing to work towards the vision of a beautiful project in the Bocas Del Toro Archipelago of northeastern Panama. Since July of 2013, immense progress has been made in the forms of erosion control, soil improvement, increased food production, more sophisticated infrastructure, and involvement of the indigenous community. The first year has proven to be a venerable landslide of learning experiences, with volunteers from around the world providing service and sharing in their passions.
There has since been a shift in the involvement of certain characters within the management, and we are in need of capable minds and bodies to continue development with knowledge and a keen eye for regenerative design, using proper permaculture principals. The original vision for much of the systems were initially designed by our talented permaculture specialist, though he will be unavailable to live outside the US for most of next year. The upcoming high season (Nov-May) is in need of someone ready to work as part of a team, teach incoming volunteers, and provide their expertise to our blossoming project. If you've ever farmed in a tropical or sub-tropical bio-region, you'll understand that maintaining a food system in a jungle requires a lot of care and attention - so we are in need of a dedicated workforce to continue the projects already underway, and creative minds to observe what can be done in the future.

    Areas of interest might include:

Cacao (there are some 500 mature trees on the property, with production at an all-time high)
Production of Heath Food (possibly for international distribution, following a fair trade/cooperative business model)
    Maintenance of Fruit Crops
    Mushroom Cultivation
    Water Desalination/Purification
    Aquaponics
    (current system already on-site)
    Involvement at Local Elementary School
    Fundraising
    Passive Solar Systems
    Smart Harvesting Systems
    Coral Reef Regeneration
    Integrative Plastics or "Wastes" Recycling/Re-purposing
    Sustainable Building Techniques
    +more

Please make contact with any questions, suggestions or other inquiries. We are very excited to talk with interested individuals about working together in the near future.

    Thanks for your time

I may be heading in that direction early in the year.
What are you looking for and how long for?

    Thank you

    Hi Danial,
Apologies for the long wait-time on this response, but working with a satellite team means sometimes our communication takes longer than usual.
I am delighted that someone with as much experience as yourself has followed up, and would love to work with you. Unfortunately, though I understand and respect the value of your consultancy, it is likely out of the range of our budget. We are happy to exchange on-site housing in the beautiful timber frame home, but will not necessarily be able to provide payment at this stage. Duration of stay is completely open, flexible, and subject to both parties' needs. With that said, if you'd still be interested in working with us while you're in the region, we're sure you would be an excellent asset.
    Thank you,
    -Cal
