Hello, this is Albert in Florida. I would like to introduce myself. I am very interested in growing my own food and having a sustainable garden and lawn. I have enjoyed all of the videos on this subject that I have seen so far. Hope to make some great friends and learn to be independent and prosperous.

Here is a link to my photos that I have so far. Blog will be soon !!!

    g'day a;bert,

yup works now, had a quick look bit on the busy side around here this morning, what with mum's day and planting more brassicas and doing some watering from the drums/barrels.

mmm dunno how ya neighbours live under all those tall trees so close to their house in what looks like very sandy soil? would invisage possible foundation damge from roots and also major limbs falling at some time if not the whole tree?? hope not anyway, not for me but.

sand soil is going to be a challenge, but raised beds will get the garden ction happening. for me i'd be doing as much composting in the beds as could be done, shred branches etc.,. and lay that under the mulch along with food scraps etc.,. once the worms come they should move all that good organic stuff into teh soil in a continual process so feeding the beds needs to be continual how i see it least wise.
