Hi - I have posted on this forum before and live in South India. We have recently had to move house and have rented a place quite close to the beach. It has one acre property and we have been told we can plant there, but the only difficulty is that it is currently a coconut palm monoculture.
We have quite a lot of space to plant around the border and also to make a veggie garden close to the house. But I am wondering if anyone has experience interplanting with coconut palms - what grows well and how much space you have to leave between coconut and new tree ...bananas and papayas are the obvious options but what else ? We have to keep the coco's since it is not our property.....
