    Hi everyone,

my husband and I have recently moved out of the city and into a caravan and now we're looking for a small patch of land to start producing our own food on. Our biggest stumbling block at the moment is figuring out how to get a permit for a dwelling on small areas of farming zoned land in Victoria (this is the only land we can find that is anywhere near affordable for us). So I'm off to another section on this forum to hopefully get some advice!

    Welcome Emily

There is some info here about building etc. The laws tend to differ between shires and states and so the council and their by laws is a good place to start.
