Default Few Ideas to Mainstream Permaculture

Many seasons ago, on Discovery Channel US, was a show called, "Monster House" where they came in and blitz'd the house over a week and remade it into a 'theme' such as Viking House, Speakeasy House, Jungle House, and so on.

The world could use a television show along the same lines that came in and redid zone 0 & zone 1 around suburbia in a week. Make people create windmills, trombe walls, sky lights, massive indoor plantings, and so on.

In addition, DIY channels "Blog House" could (and IMO) should be turned into rebuilding / green'ing up homes just like the idea I mentioned in the paragraph above. This is the stuff DIY channel should be pushing, but they are corporate owned.

So, through PBS means, I figure it is possible to spread Permaculture better in the US.

That is a great idea! We have had blitz programs here and I have always felt there is a lost opportunity. They redo gardens with ornamentals and hardly any food crops or design to make it easy and economic.

I would love to see a show like that! There are so many fascinating aspects to it, so many things to design, build, plant! Not sure there would be a market for it though as most "reality" shows now want to have some kind of drama or conflict, though not always. Could also be an expensive show to produce because the team would actually have to produce visible results.
