Default Permaculture design for a jungle in Iquitos

Hi, I'm helping to create a permaculture project for the jungle in Iquitos.
I would like to contact people with experience in project development, that can help as volunteers. It is a project of sustainability to help 4000 people to live independently.
My name is Belen, I'm from Argentina and I am helping as a volunteer to the cause. Please contact me if you want to participate.
    Many thanks.

    Hi Belen,

It seems some act of happenstance has brought me to view your post. I have no experience in permaculture but I am extremely interested in learning especially in such a circumstance as yours, so wide in scope and possibilities!
I'm responding on a whim as I know you are looking for people with a background in permaculture but I'd be very interested to hear more about the project (such as the dates) and if there is need for extra help with a great deal of enthusiasm!
I have traveled throughout South America, including Argentina and Peru and see myself returning in the near future. Hablo espanol con fluidez y esta oportunidad, sin duda, seria algo para que yo haria un gran esfuerza a hacer.

    Un abrazo,

    Evan

    Default doing the same thing

Funny that I ran across this thread while doing research. Because, I am doing the exact same thing right now. I, TOO, am looking for some volunteers to help establish the sites as well. The site I am working at is a little over an hour south of Iquitos and then another 1/2 hr hike into the jungle. I am just in the initial stages of planning and clearing. there is a lot to be done.

So, Belen, I think that we should get together and collaborate and help each other out. I have learned a lot so far and I think we could have valuable and meaningful input for each other. Get a hold of me.

Hello, My name is Eric and me and two of my friends plan on wwoofing in and around Peru this coming August through December. We are still in the early stages of planning and thus are extremely flexible with dates. We love the sound of this project and are very committed to sustainability in general; we would be very excited if we are able to help out. Unfortunately, we do not have any experience in project development, and can only offer our physical labor. If we could be of use to the project please let me know and hopefully we can work something out. If not, I completely understand, and wish you and this project the best of success in the future.
    Thank you.

    Hi.

Amazing, but I just posted a job opportunity for a new permaculture site and project in Iquitos called the Chaikuni institute. Have a look at their website here: some of the people there might be interetsed in collaborating (they are very busy setting up the project at the moment though) or can recommend someone. They have a good network in the area and are nice folks. Have a look at the wesbite: www.chaikuni.org
